Since cranberries are abundant, it's a good time to make these cookies.
They are excellent and unusual. Whenever I take them anywhere people
always want the recipe
Cranberry Drops
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup softened butter or margarine
1/4 cup milk
2 T orange juice
1 egg
3 cups flour*
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 cups coarsely chopped frozen cranberries
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Heat oven to 375. Mix sugars and butter. Stir in milk, orange juice and
egg. Mix in remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2
inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Push down slightly with a spoon.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes. Makes 5 1/2 dozen
*You can use self-rising flour if you omit the salt and baking soda.
